Introduction: Overview of JKPSC KAS Prelims Syllabus 2023

Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) conducts the Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) Prelims Examination every year. The KAS Prelims Examination is conducted for selecting candidates for the post of KAS Officer in various government departments. The examination is conducted in three stages with the Prelims as the first stage. The JKPSC KAS Prelims Syllabus 2023 is out and aspirants should begin their preparations for the same.

Exam Pattern

The KAS Prelims exam consists of two papers namely, General Studies Paper 1 and General Studies Paper 2. Each paper carries 150 marks and the total duration of the exam is 3 hours.

The questions are of a multiple-choice type and each correct answer carries 1 mark. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Syllabus
